Position Papers

Position papers are mandatory for all delegates who wish to be eligible for awards. Each position paper should be written in formal, diplomatic language and demonstrate an understanding of the issue, the country’s national interests, and feasible policy solutions. Delegates are expected to reference relevant international frameworks or agreements where appropriate and propose cooperative, realistic solutions aligned with United Nations principles.

Delegate's position papers should have 1.5 spacing and 12 sized font, and be cited using Chicago citations. Additionally, position papers should follow a similar format: 1) Background & context of the issue 2) Country positions and foreign policy 3) Solutions.

All position papers need to be submitted to the chair through their designated committee's Google form (coming soon) by February 20, 2026 at 12:00 pm. These documents will be used to assess delegate preparation and are mandatory for eligibility for awards.
