Committee Description

The year is 2007, stricter safety regulations and high-profile driver swaps promise some of the tightest, most invigorating racing yet. This electrifying foreground would produce one of the most dramatic scandals in Formula 1 history. McLaren personnel have unlawfully acquired confidential Ferrari technical documents, sparking a controversy that jeopardizes the sport's ethics, the championship battle, and the future of many teams. Tensions between teams, drivers, the FIA, and the media increase as accusations of espionage circulate across the paddock, and sponsors and supporters call for responsibility.

You are now key stakeholders in the chaos presented. A hearing was convened on July 26, 2007, before the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile in Paris. McLaren walked away without penalty that day, as investigators couldn't prove the team had exploited the stolen information for competitive gain. Following the case's closure, it’s time to take action to the recovery of your team: whether that entails addressing internal issues or calling for greater action.

Will justice triumph, or will ambition, power, and influence alter the sport's rules? You hold the power to decide the legacy of Formula 1.
